The Karma Accounts mark

Count on clarity.

From zero to infinity. Both sides in balance.

  • Balance, built in — the equals sign and the T-ledger stand for books in balance.
  • Every scale — from your first entry to what comes next, your numbers made clear.
  • Ka, for karma — क (ka), the first sound in karma. Our name, expressed in one letter.
  • Fig. 1 — Balance. Possibility. Clarity.

Why Karma Accounts

A small business is easily served last. It should not be.

When the fee counts receipts, a good month costs more than a quiet one. When the year-end is billed separately, it arrives as a surprise in the spring. When the answers come back in Finnish, the letter from the Tax Administration stays unopened. Karma Accounts was set up to work the other way round, and in practice that means three things:

We agree the price first
A fixed monthly fee set by your turnover, in writing before any work starts. No counting receipts; the software and the year-end are included.
We do the work ourselves
One accountant keeps your books current during the month and answers your questions. Nothing is outsourced and there is no account manager in between.
We explain it in your language
English, Finnish, Hindi or Nepali. Send us a letter from the authorities and you get back what it says and what you need to do, with the rule’s source.

FAQ

Questions about accounting in Finland

How much does an accountant cost in Finland?

The monthly fee is set by your business form and turnover, not by how many receipts you have: 69 € a month for a sole trader and 199 € for a limited company with turnover up to 240 000 €, plus VAT. Payroll is 15 € per payslip. A few situations, such as daily cash reports or catching up on past years, are priced separately and agreed in writing before any work starts. See the full price list.

What is included in the monthly fee, and what is priced separately?

For a sole trader: the bookkeeping, the VAT returns, the business tax return and the accounting software, with no limit on receipts: the fee is set on your volume when we start and reviewed only if it changes lastingly. For a limited company: the same with the financial statements and the company tax return. Payroll is 15 € per payslip, only in months you pay salaries. Larger companies, daily cash reports, catching up on past years and other work outside the monthly scope are priced separately, and the price is agreed in writing before the work starts.

Can I switch accountants during the year?

Yes. We agree a handover with your previous accountant, so the balances and documents carry over to us.

Do you work with clients outside Helsinki?

Yes. The work is online, so we help freelancers and businesses anywhere in Finland. In the Helsinki region we can also visit you, by arrangement.

How do I send you receipts and invoices?

Digitally, never on paper. If your bank lets you attach receipts to the transactions, as Holvi does, you attach them there; otherwise we agree another channel when we start. The month’s material, with the settlement reports of your card terminal and any delivery or payment platform, is due by the 10th of the following month, so the VAT return can be filed on time.

What do I need to get started?

Your Business ID, access to your bank statements, Suomi.fi authorisations for tax matters, and your receipts and invoices in digital form.

Who handles my accounts?

Rajesh Sapkota, the founder of Karma Accounts. The person who keeps your books is the person who answers your email, from the first month to the year-end. Rajesh’s background.
